Terms & Conditions

By using Dukes County Busted Mugshots, you agree to these terms. If any provision is unacceptable, do not access or use the site.

This privately owned reference has no connection to DCSO, the Dukes County jail, any police department, court, corrections agency, or other government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers an FCRA-covered service. We are not private investigators or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site points visitors toward public sources for Dukes County police logs, DCSO booking-record requests, Edgartown District Court files, Massachusetts DOC custody information, and separate federal locators. It stores no official record and cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or file a request or court paper for a visitor.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. You may not stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate, attempt unauthorized access, deploy bots or scrapers, interfere with operation, or use information for an unlawful purpose. You also may not use any content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.

No Consumer Reports

Dukes County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and neither do its advertising partners. You agree not to use site or partner information for employment decisions, tenant screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.

Third-Party Links

Links may reach police logs, DCSO pages, court portals, Massachusetts DOC, federal locators, legal resources, news sites, and private search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control an outside site's content, privacy practices, prices, terms, accuracy, security, or availability. Review the destination's rules before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular result. Partner searches may be partial or unavailable. Custody and court data change often, and nothing here is an official statement by DCSO or another agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its operators, and content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, costs, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use, misuse, violation of law, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Content

Text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Dukes County Busted Mugshots or the applicable content partner. You may not copy, modify, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit them without written permission, except where law expressly permits.

Changes and Access

These terms may be revised at any time, with a new version effective upon posting. Access may also be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Massachusetts Law

Massachusetts law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Massachusetts. References to public records are informed by Massachusetts General Laws chapter 66, section 10, but these private terms do not create a public-record right.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
